Gemmes works preventively and directly within real-life field contexts to strengthen protective factors in mental health, improve emotional well-being, and sustainably support educational communities. 

We work with young people aged 11 to 18 and with the professionals who support them, in educational and social environments that are sometimes vulnerable.

Major Challenges Young People and Educational Communities Face 

  • Increased mental health vulnerability from childhood ages (anxiety, stress, emotional isolation), 
  • Rise in inter-personal violence and bullying, 
  • Difficulties in emotional regulation and conflict management, 
  • Deterioration of school and educational climate, 
  • Feelings of helplessness and burnout among frontline teams.

Mental health and well-being are not ends in themselves, but essential foundations for young people’s engagement, educational success and civic participation. 

Working with young people and those who support them 

Young People (Ages 11–18)

Psychosocial Skills (PSS) 

In line with WHO recommendations and the French National Strategy for the Development of Psychosocial Skills (2022–2037), psychosocial skills are a central lever of our work.
